Local Rules

LOCAL RULES – To be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf : 

Out of Bounds

Within staked area of Practice Fairway and beyond the fence bounding the course

Staked Trees or Shrubs

If a staked tee or staked shrub interferes with a player’s stance or area of intended swing, the ball must be lifted without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure in Rule 24.2b (i) (Immovable Obstruction). The ball may be cleaned when so lifted. The stakes are Immovable Obstructions

Ground Under Repair

Areas marked with white stakes and or white lines are to be treated as Ground Under Repair and relief may be taken in accordance with the procedure in Rule 25.1b (i). Garden beds adjacent to the Club House are to be treated as GUR and relief must be taken (Note: there are no defined garden beds on the course proper).

Fixed Sprinkler Heads

All fixed sprinkler heads are Immovable Obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24.2. In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief, without penalty, as follows; If the ball lies off the putting green, but not in a hazard and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay, which (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids such intervention, and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.

Roads and Paths

All roads and paths are integral parts of the course except those which are hard paved. The kerbs on all roads and paths are Immovable Obstructions and relief may be taken in accordance with the procedure in Rule 24.2b

Posts

Posts indicating underground power lines are Immovable Obstructions and relief must be taken under Rule 24.2b (i)

Irrigation Lake

The irrigation lake is designated as a Lateral Water Hazard (Rule 26)

Tee Markers

RED – ladies (slope – 126)

WHITE – Men’s (slope – 126)

BLUE – Men’s Championship (slope – 127)

Match Play -Loss of Hole
Stroke – 2 stroke

SIREN

Suspension of Play – 3 consecutive blasts repeated
Resumption of Play – 2 consecutive blasts repeated
Play Abandoned – 1 prolonged blast
