
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Miller as the Club’s Membership and Communications Coordinator. Michelle will be joining us on Monday 20th February and we look forward to welcoming her to our team.
Michelle replaces the vacancy made by Lauren Chaplin with her primary focus to oversee all aspects of membership. This includes, but is not limited to, handling new member enquiries and the application process, attaining new members, members moving between categories, introducing new members through the induction process, developing membership initiatives and ensuring all members are informed and engaged with the Club.
Michelle will also coordinate the Club’s communication strategy through the weekly E-news, website and social media platforms.
Michelle comes to MLGC with extensive experience in the golf and club industry with a snapshot of her previous positions and duties outlined below:
2013 – 2017
South Fremantle Football Club – Manager, Operations
Primary duties:
- Manage team of staff including Membership Officer, Function Manager, Groundsman and Corporate Partnership Manager
- Work with key stake holders (AFL Clubs, WAFL Clubs, WAFC, Sponsors and the Board of Directors)
- Coordinate Club social events including Hall of Fame and Fairest & Best Awards dinner
- Coordinate other events including NAB Cup
2006 – 2008 and 2009 – 2013
PGA of Australia – Executive Assistant
Primary duties:
- Coordinate WA Division Trainee program
- Personal Assistant to the Executive Officer
- Liaise with Golf Clubs in the coordination of tournaments
- Provided administrative support to the WA Division
- Maintain the PGA management system – including tournament entries and membership
2008 – 2009
Cottesloe Golf Club – Membership Officer
Primary duties:
- Maintain membership database
- Coordinate new membership processes
- Membership engagement with Club events
2000 – 2007
Araluen Golf Resort – Club Secretary and Corporate Golf Coordinator
Primary duties:
- Act as Club Secretary to ACC members
- Liaison between the ACC members and the management of the Araluen Golf Resort
- Personal Assistant to the Head Professional
- Coordinate all aspects of Corporate Golf
