The US Masters is on! Most golfer’s favourite major tournament has commenced with some spectacular and not so spectacular golf being played on day one. We also saw a record 9 hole in ones at the par 3 tournament on Wednesday. However the most talked about moment from Day 1 is Ernie Els 6 putting the first green for a horrible 9 to start his day.

With 24 hour coverage of the Masters on Foxtel we’re sure to see a number of Mount Lawley members this week a bit bleary eyed at Golf.

The other major tournaments for members to keep an eye on this week is the Australian Girls and Boys Amateur and the Australian Girls and Boys Interstate Series being held in Tasmania. With Western Australia being represented by Club Members Jordan Doull, Kirsten Rudgeley, Claudia Pisano, Alysha Ahnantakrishnan (girls’ captain), Sue Thomson (Manager) and myself (Coach).

Wish us luck in Devonport!
