The Club is deeply saddened to advise of the passing of Life Member Lionel Sangster aged, 97 years. Lionel was a long serving member of the Club for over 67 years, joining in 1956 and was elected as a Life Member of the Club in 1981.
Lionel is a past President of Mount Lawley Golf Club and served on various committees:
- Committee: 1964 – 1967
- Vice President: 1968 – 1971
- President: 1972 – 1974
- Men’s Club Champion in 1964
Lionel lived a very fulfilling life, he cherished his membership at Mount Lawley Golf Club which was a significant part of his life. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered, and our deepest sympathies are extended to the Sangster family.
A Service to Celebrate the Life of the late Lionel Sangster will be held in the West Chapel at PINNAROO Valley Memorial Park on MONDAY (3.4.2023) commencing at 1.30pm. Following the Service there will be refreshments served in the Condolence Lounge. A wake will be held please contact the family for details.
