Vale | David Dartnall
It is with a sad heart we advise Members of the passing of David Dartnall.
David was a past Club President (1981 - 82) and Captain (1976 - 77) and was a well-respected and long-term member (60 years), passing away at the age of 93 years young. David resigned his membership in 2021 due to ill health.
David loved Mount Lawley Golf Club, giving many hours of voluntary time to the Club. He, along with Alan Wills and Athol Baker started the "Twilighters" competition in 1991.
David also spent many hours compiling the data for the Best Nett Award which was awarded to the most consistent player on a Saturday during the golfing season. This award commenced in 1990 and was named in David's honour. Unfortunately, the award was not recognised after 2018 due to David's ill health.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to David's family and friends.
Members are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate the Life of David at Mount Lawley Golf Club this Sunday 12th January at 2pm.
