Dear Members
Unfortunately, we have had a small section of our new exposed aggregate path damaged, and this section will need to be redone.
We believe the cause of the damage to the exposed aggregate concrete at the rear of the first tee is due to a water pipe issue underneath the slab.
Until this area of concrete is lifted, we will not know exactly what caused the damage, but we believe it occurred when the grounds staff and reticulation contractors were installing new irrigation at the rear of the first tee just prior to reopening the paths to members and they were unaware at the time that they could have caused any damage.
We have immediately contacted the contractors who installed the new exposed aggregate, and they will be on site next Tuesday morning 24 September to commence the rectification work.
A further communication will be sent to members prior to work commencing next Tuesday, and this will advise of any changes to the way members move through this area, including accessing the golf course. Obviously, we will need to provide a safe area for members, staff and contractors.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to rectifying the damaged section such that you can continue to enjoy the new paths.
If members have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully,
Troy O'Hern | General Manager
