We trust Members are looking forward to playing a full course and enjoying the new green complexes which open this weekend. This sees the completion of stage two of the Greens Replacement Program (GRP) with the third and final stage commencing in late June.
The ideal grow in period from seeding is 16 - 20 weeks. The first four of the eight greens (holes 12, 13, 14 and 16) constructed in stage two are at the 20-week mark. The second four have just ticked over 16 weeks. Holes 2, 3 and 5 have progressed well and are ready to come into play. The sixth green however is showing signs of some mild stress, whilst not a serious concern a decision has been made to hold the new green for a further two weeks.
The GRP is a long-term strategy for the Club, and it was agreed early in the project that greens will only open when they are ready. We trust all members understand and we look forward to seeing you play the new sixth hole in a couple of weeks.
The nineteenth hole "Jacaranda" will remain in play whilst the sixth green is out of play.
Thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you on course.
Best regards
