Since the opening of the new Short Game area and Practice Tee, we are glad to see that our members have been using the latest practice facilities a lot. As such, these new areas must be managed as they are established, particularly with Winter approaching. The new bunker is getting a lot of use, and the chipping green and the greens on Jacaranda are getting a lot of pitch marks. We ask that you remember these few requests when practising your short game:
Short Game areas – no more than 10 balls to be used at a time
Consider practising bunker shots at Jacaranda
No Pitching to any greens (do not hit from greater than 10 metres from the edge of the green)
If you want to practice your pitching, there are new flags on the driving range for you to aim at.
The Driving Range
This week, we have put all the new Srixon Range balls onto the driving range.
We are aiming to keep only these balls in play. If you have old balls to get rid of, please do not hit them onto the driving range.
The ropes on the practice tee for hitting between are not to be moved by anyone other than the Grounds Staff. Please do not pull out the spikes that secure the ropes at any time.
With Winter approaching, we will soon place the artificial mats onto the aggregate for all driving range practice.
Guests on the Driving Range
Members’ Guests are permitted to warm up with a member prior to playing a round. Members are reminded that they are not to bring Guests to only use the practice facilities.
